The wine has a black centre with a dark red rim and its bouquet offers an enticing mélange of classical Barossa Shiraz dark plums and chocolate.
The palate is opulent and rich with great length of flavour. It is superbly structured: the depth of velvet fruit being reined in by firm tannins and the beautifully integrated oak.
An excellent partner for braised lamb shanks, richly flavoured casseroles, and of course, perfect with a superlative matured cheddar.
