Our maiden vintage Sauvignon blanc is a blend of 6 batches from different clones. We have selected only the best tanks to make up the blend. It has taken us weeks and a lot of input from winemaking friends to get to the final wine. Thanks to all of you, you know who you are!
The wine has turned out beautifully, if we say so ourselves. It has the sought-after minerality combined with typical nettle and capsicum notes. We only have some 4,000 bottles , which needs to last us until the release of our 2010 vintage (early 2011).
The wine was recently awarded a coveted GOLD MEDAL at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, one of the most prestigious wine competitions in the world. Next to the 4-star John Platter rating and the medal we received from the Michelangelo International Wine Competition, there is no doubt this wine has been well received.
