Our first Chardonnay; and what a beauty! Won a silver medal at the biggest wine competition in the world: The Decanter International Wine Awards and is turning out to be quite a pleaser. Even people that will not touch Chardonnay are raving about it. Crisp Minerality, purity of fruit and concentration of flavours. Made in Old World style, this wine can be drunk on its own and has the intensity to withstand even spicy dishes. Only limited quantities were made, 10 barrels in total. Made in honour of Joep van Almenkerk, mentor and founder of Almenkerk Wine Estate to celebrate his love for Chardonnay. Here to hoping we can make many more hommages!
